Smart Beginnings Martinsville Henry(SBMH) is part of Virginia's Ready Regions Network charged with bringing communities together for early childhood success! They work directly with childcare providers and are focused developing high-quality learning environments for children. They currently are working on expanding existing businesses as well as the creation of new businesses to meet local workforce demands.

Department of Social Services(DSS) will share information about childcare subsidies that can help parents cover the cost of childcare (how it works, how to get information and apply, etc.). 
VA Department of Education(VDOE), Division of Early Childhood Care and Education will answer questions about starting a licensed childcare center in MHC.

Ready Regions West will share information and demo a new coordinated enrollment system (coming soon to MHC) being developed to provide a means for parents to connect to all local childcare options, and subsidy information with a navigator to help them through the process.
