Respect and Appreciation for Workplace Differences

    Presented By: Val Boston, III

How do we capitalize on the distinctive characteristics of every employee to keep them fully engaged, and contributing to your organization? There are often obstacles that prevent employees from reaching maximum performance, such as individual belief systems, organizational structure, and corporate culture. Participants will explore their own beliefs about differences and recognize how these beliefs can lead to behaviors that result in positioning some employees for success while relegating others to not reach their highest potential.

This session will address the importance of an Inclusion and Diversity strategy in an ever changing world, and how we can leverage our human capital for maximum contribution. Participants will gain an understanding of the relationship between an organization's growth and its ability to create an inclusive work environment using the strengths of each individual to produce the best results.

    Learning objectives for this session:

After participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:

    • Define the business case and benefits for Inclusion and Diversity
    • Identify barriers to success in their organizations
    • Determine key success factors
    • Understand the focus of winning companies
